Be a Mentor
Become an Education, CATCH, or Career Mentor
Mentoring is so important to the success of the survivors in our programs. Many participants have not had the experience of a consistent, loving, and supportive relationship in their lives; we are in the position to provide a very special gift. We have three programs that you could mentor with: GED, CATCH, or Workforce Development.
The requirements to be a mentor include:
- Attend basic Anti-Human Trafficking Training (available through She Has a Name)
- Attend Freedom a la Cart’s Mentor Training
- Submit a BCI background check
- Personal Interview with one of our staff
CATCH Mentoring is a two-year commitment and requires an estimated two hours a week. Education or career mentorship opportunities may also be available and require a shorter commitment.
Interested in becoming a mentor? Sign up for our upcoming mentor training on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 9 am – 12 pm. It will be held in The Freedom Loft at 123 E Spring Street in downtown Columbus. Email us for more information.
